Well i've just logged on here to start a new blog and this has had several thousand views.
I knew that there was a lack of stories of peoples experiences with the Inman Aligner to read. I'm just sorry i didn't make this better.
I do however want to stress this point - i do not recommend the Inman aligner if you have problems with your canine teeth.
Although my treatment worked to certain extent i did not get the results i expected (and was promised). I was very upset at the end of my treatment as i felt like i'd wasted my money and time. I even submitted a formal complain only to be sent my contract to me which had been amended by the dental practise. They had handwritten on the bottom above my signature "This treatment will not straighten the canine teeth", Which frankly was ridiculous as that was the whole reason i was having the treatment. I am currently persuing legal action for this fraudulent action.
The whole process was much more hassle than it was worth. I really wish i had put the £2000 toward proper train track braces. I ended up having veneers put on my canines - just cheap composite ones are £100 each. Another option i should have considered before going with the Inman Aligner. As this would drastically have improved the look of my teeth without the two years on treatment. So possibly something to consider instead?
The reality is that the Inman Aligner is a cheap and not very good alternative to train track braces.
When i tell people i describe it in terms of a breast enlargement. You can either go for the painful full surgery for £3000. Which is a full on surgery and two weeks of excruciating pain. Yet at the end you are guaranteed to have larger breasts. Or you can go for the "Boob Job Jab" Which can be done in your lunch hour and only costs £300. Which one sounds more appealing? People opt for the second one as its the easy option, only to realise that it was not a good choice. Most people want an easy way out to many problems and are looking for a miracle fix.
If your teeth are just slightly crooked then yes it will probably work for you in a matter of weeks. -
If your teeth are bad enough to be considering braces its likely they need some force behind them to move them into place. This pulling force only comes from train track braces.
I seriously urge you also go for a consultation for train track braces. I'm sure they'll be able to tell you the technicalities behind it :)
